Awesome! LL's ability to extract the themes, colors, gait, and story from the piece gives him the ability to see beyond mechanics. The infusion of one's lived experience is at the core of music, through pitch, drag, pause etc. A good musician pays attention to the senses beyond the immediately audible. Despite music being often interpreted in such a form, many "hear" color and temperature. And he is one such person.

Beethoven is a genius composer because he can create different themes and styles of all the piano sonatas he wrote in his time still being memorialised till now❤

Many thanks for making this incredibly moving concert available. It's a sad time for the music world now that we have lost Sir Andrew. As a horn player and concert-goer, I'd met him on many occasions and one of the first was at a BBC Proms concert in the late 1970s and on the programme was Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms along with Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. Great to see him conducting this Student orchestra and chorus who gave their all in a typically demanding programme and looking very lively. I'm currently having a Sir Andrew Davis Elgar Festival to mark his life and recordings. RIP Sir Andrew.
